Kendall Feeney
Faculty Member
Pianist Kendall Feeney has performed as soloist and chamber musician
throughout the United States and Asia. A native of California, Ms. Feeney
studied at the University of Southern California where she received her
bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance winning both the Undergraduate
and Graduate Keyboard Awards. She has been featured on
National Public Radio's Performance Today and actively lectures throughout
the Northwest on topics ranging from piano technique to the future of classical
music. She is Artistic Director of the Northwest concert series ZEPHYR:
Expanding the Concert Experience, as well as a member of the piano faculty
and director of the EWU Contemporary Music Ensemble at Eastern Washington
University. She is a frequent guest artist at Chamber Music San Juans and
the Bellingham Music Festival She has served on the chamber music
staff of the New College Festival in Sarasota, Florida and the Round Top
Festival Institute in Texas. She also maintains private studios in Seattle,
Spokane and Portland. In addition to her performing and teaching,
Ms. Feeney is a regular contributor to Clavier Magazine. In 1997 she was
awarded the Individual Artist of the Year by the Spokane Arts Commission.
Ms. Feeney has studied with Dorothy Taubman and Edna Golandsky since 1985.
